Note - There are 3 sections to this guide listed below.

Rules & Regulations - Rules & Regulations of the site that must be abided by at all times

Breakdown - Explanation for the Portal, which includes strategies, angles, interferences, judging, and dark matches.

Forum Rules - The rules that must be obeyed on the boards.

Application Before Validation - With the recent influx of people flowing into GNE, I've put this rule into effect to keep the site protected should anything happen. Consider it, a precautionary thing. If you wish to join GNE, you MUST submit an Application BEFORE signing up with the forums. If you wish to be part of the OOC community, then you may use the Contact feature to contact the GNE staff, and they'll decide whether or not to validate your account.

7 Days To Prove Yourselves - All right, this is for all of the new people that join. From the day you are accepted, you will have 7 days to rp before you are removed from the roster. This is for the basis that people join, do not rp, and just make it a hassle. So, basically, that's what it comes down to. If you join, be ready to put up some work, a week's time is a respectable amount for you to get one rp ready.

Quality over Quantity - This is the big rule here at The GNE. Suppose post 4 rp's with 300 lines each, but if they all say the same thing over and over again with nothing more than text, then it's likely that you'll lose to someone that makes a serious point in one rp. Quality rp'ing will ALWAYS prevail over quantity.

Be Yourself! - Do not use other role-players in your role-plays without permission. That's just rude and you might be causing them to mess up angles. If you really want to use someone, get their permission FIRST! This also flows in with the "You're Not God" deal. You cannot attack anyone in your role-plays UNLESS you have their permission. All in all, if you can't comprehend the way this rule works then this clearly is not the game you should be playing.

No One Likes A Whiner - Do not complain about results, if you lost you lost fairly, several staff members judge RPs so everything is fair, if you complain you will be warned and possibly fired. We've all lost a match in our careers, deal and move on. If something truly is bugging you, then politely speak to a staff member and ask them for an explanation...this does not guarantee you'll get one but should help close loose ends.

Please Let Me Win! - For the love of God do not ask us to let you win. Whether you're a friend, an acquaintance, or pushing for a Goldberg like angle, do not ask to make it so that you will win. Work at it, put out a good rp and earn that win. If you ask me to let you win though, I promise you that I will make it an AUTOMATIC LOSS!

4 Roleplays Max - Maximum of 4 role-plays per show, if you are unhappy with one of them, then please, feel free to replace it but let us know so we are aware of which one to count. If you roleplay more than 4 times without notice beforehand, only the first 4 will be counted. This does not include character development though, if you have some C/D rp's you wish to post, then post as many as you'd like. This rule only applies to shows. Note: PPV roleplays may be subject to exceptions if mentioned on card.

Roleplay Caps (Made By Superstars) - You have the option of capping off  a roleplay limit, as there is a particular forum for this. It is to be stated publicly that you wish to have a max quantity on roleplays allowed for a particular match, and it must be agreed to by all parties involved. Now, if, ANYONE, for ANY reason, breaks the roleplay cap, they will automatically LOSE their match, and forfeit their title if they have one. PERIOD! It doesn't matter if you were out roleplayed, out written, or simply the other person's roleplay was longer. If you've agreed to a roleplay limit, the you WILL abide by it.

Keep Us Informed - If you can not roleplay PLEASE tell a member of the staff, that member of staff will pass on the message to the rest of staff. There will be a "time off" board instituted for individuals who need a certain week off and such, but please inform us within 4 days of the show. There is no excuse for no showing unless it involves a family emergency, computer problem, or a health issue. Lack of motivation does not qualify as a feasible excuse...period. We don’t do availability threads, for more information on why this is, please refer to the FAQ.

Common Courtesies - Treat other members as you would want to be treated, be nice and respect other peoples efforts, if they don't RP like you would or as well as you, help them rather than make fun of them. We all have to learn from somewhere.

Work Hard, Build Up, Earn Respect - Do not ask for title shots as soon as you debut, this gets SO annoying and you will be cautioned if you do it. Come into the fed, work hard, roleplay, and title shots will be awarded to you for your consistency.

2 Weeks To Live - What this rule says is, if you do not Role-play for two straight weeks without an explanation, you will not be booked any further weeks until you post ONE Character Development RP to show us that you are ready to get back in the swing of things. There are incidents in which new members that do not rp will simply be removed from the roster.

Tag Team Matches - The Tag Team Matches are handled a little more differently than usual. The way it works, is that each individual competing, is allowed to use 2 roleplays, and 1 collaborative roleplay...meaning you do a joint roleplay with your partner. You may include your partner in any of the roleplays you use but remember, that those roleplays will count as solely the roleplays posted by the individual. If however, you are to sit down with your partner and do a collaborative rp where both of you do half and half....that will count as your 1 collaborative roleplay depending on the individual that makes the post. I hope that makes sense....

The GNE Portal - The GNE portal is a unique system that I've come up with which helps you all interact in GNE more than just the roleplays. This allows you to help mold the shows and matches into what you want to happen. Using the portal is rather easy, on the main site, navigate towards the top on the right hand corner, and the screen titled The Portal is what you would use. You may submit up to as many items as you'd like per show, but keep in mind, only the plausible ones will be used. This will help ensure that nothing is overlooked once it is received into my account. For further explanations read below.

Dark Matches - Ok, Dark matches {Exhibition match, Meaning it will not go towards your official GNE record} is a new system for GNE. It's simple, a new member to this fed, will be placed in a dark match against another new member {or a member on the current main roster}. This match will not be written out with commentary, or very detailed on the results. it will simply be a short description, and state the winner.

The reason for this is particularly to see which of the new members will rp. It's just a waste of time writing results when people don't rp for them.

Strategies - The strategy system in the GNE is an innovative idea to give you, the handler, more control on your wrestler during the show. All you do, is fill out a basic strategy form explaining who you are and what you want done, and send it into one of the staff members.

Interferences - The interference system is an extension of the strategies you are allowed to put forth in your match. This allows you to interfere in someone's match to further a feud or start an angle, or perhaps to get back at them for what they said about you in your rp to kick start a long term rivalry. However, you cannot abuse this, each time you choose to interfere, you must provide a valid reason as to why you are doing so, otherwise it will not be incorporated into the show.

Edit Your Superstar - This form is also an innovative technique that makes things easier on not only yourself, but for the staff and webdesigner(s). The purpose of this is so that again, we extend the ideal that you have complete control over your superstar. Anything you want changed, big or small, just fill out the form and mail it in. It will be taken care of shortly.

Judging - The judging is done by me, Soren, and judges who I have set aside. All of them send in their judgements with reasons as to why who should win what. The basic breakdown of this is, 85% QUALITY OF THE RP, 5% Strategy, 4% Interference, 1% Angle. This is the structure of it but there are exceptions here and there. The final say comes down to me, as I will choose the winners. But, do keep in mind, that the storyline will not affect the outcome of the match, it's all based on quality of the rp. However, in debates, there have been incidents where outside judges and trusted members of the fed, THAT DO NOT participate in the match they are judging, have been called in to give their two cents.

Angles - Angles are very important in the GNE. They help make the show incredibly interesting to read and write, on top of which, giving the superstars something to work towards rather than just fighting back and forth. Involvement in angles is always welcome. Just discuss an angle with one of the owners and work something out. Usually there are close to 3 or 4 angles going on at once, with the biggest being part of the storyline update. It makes things fun.

Keep IC & OOC Separate - The rule itself is very simple, keep IC and OOC separately. Do not bring your IC attitudes into the OOC board and do not take OOC board convos into the RP board, this will result in automatic deletion of your post, and a warning from a staff member. A second violation will mean you being deleted from the fed and boards.

Be Mature or Get Out - Harsh as it may sound that's the attitude on the forum. This is a community, where people can come and hang out, don't get into random fights on the boards or go and flame others for no damn reason, it's just not tolerated. Being goofy and acting like an immature jackass are two different things, if you are of the latter, then leave and don't waste our time. If this rule is broken or tested, then you will be warned once, if you continue to become a problem you will be removed from the GNE. We don't give many chances.

No Personal Bullshit - This is a very simple rule, but what's more depressing is that I have to make this a rule due to the stuff I've seen in other feds. I do not care about your personal drama with another individual, nor do I give a damn about what they did to you or blah blah blah. Keep it off of my boards! You have personal beef, handle it in a pm, instant messenger, or on the phone, but if I feel any personal shots are taken, subtle, or straight forward, the consequences will be VERY SEVERE. Your drama needs to remain your drama, it should not carry over to the rest of the federation.

Sigs - Although we're lenient on sigs, try to stay within limits when putting up more than 1 signature banner (what the reason for this is beyond me...but some people tend to do this). There are however 2 restrictions on sigs, the first being that your sig cannot exceed 600 pixels IN WIDTH. The other restriction is on constantly looping (streaming) videos that slow the boards down and take up a load of space, now use common sense here. Something that's 100kb won't slow the boards down, but a vid that is 3 mb, well you do the math. Violation of these rules will result in a private message which will give you 24 hours to change your sig, OR, immediate removal of the sig by one of the moderators, depending on the basis of the violation.

Common Courtesy - Be courteous to one another, yeah I know it sounds like Kindergarten but believe me this rule NEEDS to be here. Seriously though, just be fairly nice. Cussing, I could care less about and things of that nature don't bug me but this relates to one another, show courtesy to your fellow superstars. Treat them as to how you want to be treated.

No Racial Remarks - Racism will not be tolerated in the fed. You could be the Ultimate Champion but if  there are racist remarks on the board, the result will be immediate deletion of your account, stripped of your title and any awards you've been given, and banning from the GNE. On top of which, we will publicly humiliate you and your character for your attitude and continue to use him or her for any shows we please for the purpose of merely giving you a bad reputation and filling in our jobber spots. Simply put, if you're racist, then turn around and get the hell out. We don't want you here.

Feel Free To Rp - If you have nothing to do, feel free to rp, we could always use some more character development rp's even if you don't have a match. Remember though, keep in mind that the match rp limit is at 4.

RP Authenticity - I DO NOT tolerate plagiarism in any way shape or form. I can make exceptions if it is say a quote or something, but do not copy something you found or read somewhere else word for word because chances are, I'm gonna find out one way or another. If you are caught taking credit for work that is not yours, then you will be immediately removed from the GNE. Not only this however, you will be blacklisted, made a fool of, and if I receive any lip on the matter from you or anyone you’re affiliated with, then things will become personal, and believe me, for your sake, for your friends’ sake, for your computer’s sake, you do not want that.
